Healthy Chocolate Chip Protein Bars Recipe
I’m not a fan of protein bars, store brought protein bars usually contain too many artificial sweeteners, fillers, and other chemicals that do more harm than good, not too mention that that taste like crap. However, homemade protein bars can actually be pretty damn good. They are easy to make and if done the right way can be pretty nutritious.
This is a great healthy snack, and one of my favorite protein bar recipe that I have used for some time now. I normally consumed these either pre or post-workout. If you like this recipe please share it or post your coments below. Enjoy!
Chocolate Chip Protein Bars
- 4 ½ sccops protein powder (135g)
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (120ml)
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 3 tbsp. pure honey
- 1 tsp. stevia (optional)
- ¼ cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
- 1.5 oz. seedless raisins (44g)
Add almond milk, honey and peanut butter into a saucepan and place over a low heat. Once the peanut butter has slightly melted mix everything together.
Add protein powder, oats, cinnamon, sweetener and raisins then mix well. Pour mixture into a baking dish or pan and push down to mould it into the dish. Push chocolate chips into the top of the mixture.
Let cool and then cut them into 10 servings and don’t eat them all at once. Enjoy!
